The Frog Hopper

Frog Hopper Project The Frog Hopper is a simple motor-powered LEGO machine that shows how Build Club 2 models can move by themselves. A battery pack gives power to the motor, and the motor turns a small 8-tooth gear. This gear transfers motion to a larger 24-tooth gear, which spins the frog’s back legs. As the legs turn, the frog hops, wiggles, or moves across the floor. This project introduces students to powered mechanisms, gear movement, and the engineering process of building, testing, and improving a machine.
